Eczema Home Remedies That Are Safe And Effective

I chose not to rely on normal treatments to treat my eczema. The reason why I stopped using conventional treatments is simply they do not work in the long run and they pose dangers to my long term health. Steroids are usually used by doctors to treat eczema but it will become damaging to your health if you use it frequently. Currently, I rely on eczema home remedies that are 100% safe.

Most of the creams in the market contain steroids or harsh chemicals. Long term use of steroid creams can cause your skin to become thin and susceptible to external conditions. I would recommend you to stay away from these products and try natural remedies instead.

Natural remedies are made up of natural ingredients and they do not damage our skin. One wonderful natural ingredient is oatmeal. Oatmeal consists four skin healing components, namely proteins, saponins, fats and polysaccharides.

Polysaccharides can help to prevent your skin from drying out as they turn into a protective layer on top of your skin when oatmeal is mixed with water. Oatmeal can also prevent further irritation by preventing allergen from coming into contact with your skin.

Grab a handful of oat, grind it into powder form and mix it with water. Use the paste and apply it to eczema affected areas during night.

Aloe vera is another excellent natural ingredient. Eczema is a form of inflammation and aloe vera can help to reduce inflammation. You can buy aloe vera from pharmacies or get the raw aloe vera in the market.

Always check out the ingredient list before buying bottled aloe vera. Some bottled aloe vera consist of mostly water. There are also products that are produced by chemicals instead of real aloe vera. Read the ingredient label and find out whether aloe vera is the first in the ingredient list.

If you plant your own aloe vera or purchase raw aloe vera from the market, you can use the pulp on your eczema affected area.

You can also give emu oil a try. I find that emu oil can provide fast relief when eczema flares up since it has great transdermal property, which means that the oil will be easily absorb by the skin. Aloe vera or emu oil are great natural eczema remedies that you can use at home.

These methods are not adequate to cure your eczema and I recommend that learn more about holistic methods to cure eczema. If you truly want to get rid of your eczema permanently, you will have to make changes to your diet to achieve a permanent cure.
