Kids Birthday Parties To Remember

Planning kids birthday parties can be fun if the person planning it uses a little creativity. Even after individuals reach adulthood, they will usually be able to look back at their childhoods and remember the celebrations. These occasions can range from simple to outrageously ornate. The lavish events aren’t necessarily any better than the simple ones. What’s important is that the child who has turned one year older will feel loved and valued. Having a stressed out parent won’t help so it’s important to plan well in advance, stay within one’s budget, and only invite the number of kids that can be managed. Here are some ideas:In one’s home sweet home: Having a few friends and family members over for home baked cake and scoops of ice cream can be festive and sweet. Add a few brightly wrapped gifts, have everyone sing “Happy Birthday to you!” and there you have a party to remember. In the backyard: If a house has a large backyard, lots of options for festivities are possible. Hiring a pony for the guests to ride around on will be fun for all. Attendees can dress like cowgirls and cowboys; the cake can be decorated western style and the treat bags can hold plastic harmonicas for singing around the campfire. Other ideas are rousing game fests – touch football, softball, and croquet or freeze tag along with cake and ice cream can create an active, sporty party. Tie-dying t-shirts in the backyard and having “art” stations set up for face painting, collage making, and necklace making will create an arty fun event, as well. This will allow the party guests to make their own souvenirs to take home with them.Outside venues: The bowling alley, pizza parlor, skating rink, movie theater or zoo are all wonderful venues to set up parties. Even a public park that has a gazebo and picnic tables can be great fun. The cakes and party bags can be reflective of the location. Plastic characters and items atop the cake can be bowling pins with balls, skates, the Disney characters from the movie matinee, or zoo animals. A round cake can be topped with cherry icing, flecks of coconut to look like Parmesan, candied veggies and pepperoni and there you have it, a sweet pizza-cake.Jumping castles: Who doesn’t love a jumping castle? These blow-up activities create a splashy design statement that the motif can be built around. Little girls might love a princess castle. The accompanying motif could be pink princesses. Even thought they’d need to wear play clothes in order to do some jumping, they could wear lacy attire, pink outfits and have fake jewels and tiaras in their treat bags. Little boys might all enjoy slipping into Tarzan persona. The blow-up jumping activity can be jungle themed. Treat bags can hold plastic monkeys, elephants and soft plastic or foam spears. When planning kids birthday parties, it’s a good idea for the planner to access their own inner-child. What sounds fun, festive yet safe? It’s also important to keep the kiddos safe during the event. Having enough adults around to monitor the group is a must, even if a few teenagers are brought on the job for a few bucks.
